What is your money blueprint?

In Nice Girls Don’t Get Rich there are ten statements that are unfinished; completing these may go some way towards supporting you to figure out your money blueprint. The statements are:

I am not rich because…

And that is because….

Being rich would make me feel…

When it comes to rich people, my parents always told me…

If I focused on getting rich, it would make my partner/spouse feel…

A rich woman is one who…

What keeps me from taking more risks to get rich is…

When it comes to handling money, I….

I feel money is…

A rich woman strikes me as…

Here are my answers from what today seems a lifetime ago.

I am not rich because I refuse to understand finance.

And that is because I do not consider money important and a part of my life.

Being rich would make me feel secure.

When it comes to rich people, my parents always told me that they are immoral and exploit the honest working people.

If I focused on getting rich, it would make my partner/spouse feel left behind.

A rich woman is one who is independent.

What keeps me from taking more risks to get rich is the fear of losing it all.

When it comes to handling money, I get embarrassed.

I feel money is dirty and un-important.

A rich woman strikes me as ruthless.

These answers tell so much about me as I used to be; from having a negative money blueprint to making wrong assumptions. Specifically, the statement about my husband feeling left behind – how wrong could one be? He is not only left behind and we are partners of immense strength in developing and applying the Money Principle.

  1. I am not rich because I never thought I could be.
And that is because I was poor as a child.
Being rich would make me feel powerful.
When it comes to rich people, my parents always told me they live on a different planet from us.
If I focused on getting rich, it would make my partner feel he did not have to work in a job he doesn’t enjoy anymore, so it would be a very good thing to do.
A rich woman is one who knows that money is NOT everything.
What keeps me from taking more risks to get rich is a lack of money.
When it comes to handling money, I was rubbish, but have improved a lot in the last year.
I feel money is a means to an end.
A rich woman strikes me as one who is lucky, IT WILL BE ME, the universe will show me how!
Thank you for putting the questions up, I answered as honestly as I can and without spending time considering too much. What do you make of that then?

  2. Okay, here goes:

I am not rich because…I have never earned enough money
And that is because…. “life” keeps getting in the way eg redundancies; leaving work to become a carer
Being rich would make me feel…secure
When it comes to rich people, my mother always told me… that she would have been rich if it hadn’t been for my Dad
If I focused on getting rich, it would make my partner/spouse feel…go for it as long as you make sensible choices
A rich woman is one who… is independent
What keeps me from taking more risks to get rich is…not having any spare money where it doesn’t matter if we lose these funds or not
When it comes to handling money, I…. am extremely careful
I feel money is… something other people enjoy
A rich woman strikes me as… someone I aspire to be

Food for thought, thx for posting Maria.

  3. I probably better tell you what I did with these asnwers. I examined each and everyone of them and changed it into something that doesn’t stop me but helps me grow. I learned about fiance and managing money; money is part of my life but I am not going to make it the centre of it; etc. One of my answers needed me to talk to John (my husband) – now I am not guessing how he feels about me focusing on getting rich. It seems that we may need to start a discussion on how to go beyond what stops you being rich, how to work through it.

  4. I am not rich because…I don’t know how to achieve it

And that is because…I don’t understand how other people have become rich

Being rich would make me feel…better

When it comes to rich people, my parents always told me…that rich people are unhappy

If I focused on getting rich, it would make my partner/spouse feel…hatred

A rich woman is one who…has either sold herself to a rich man or someone who has a good family and feels loved

What keeps me from taking more risks to get rich is…my child and the responsibility I have to make sure she doesn’t lack anything

When it comes to handling money, I…give it away too easily.

I feel money is…something I need in order to have better opportunities in life

A rich woman strikes me as…an old lady who has lost everything else that matters
