Slash your energy bills and save
Until four years ago, I heard myself lecturing my son about the environment, and the fact that we don’t really need the light on when we are not in a room; a healthy dollop of guilt never hurt anyone, so I also explained that every time a light or the TV are left on my labour, my life force, is just left to drain away. Technically correct but…
Today, by publishing this infographic, I am making my transformation official; and with good justification. Energy bills have been increasing and are expected to rise again; providers are competing but even the cheaper prices are rather high. Saving energy is good for the environment and good for your pocket!
Now the take away from the infographic in a nutshell (for the ones amongst my readers who join me in the visually deficient camp):
- Using gas for cooking is cheaper;
- If you have to use electric ovens make sure they are fan assisted;
- When possible use your microwave;
- Use your dishwasher – it will not only save your relationship (no arguments about who will do the washing up) but also saves energy and resources.
Worth a try, I think; at least until we build an electric power station in the garden (just joking).
